I am engaged in research exploring machine learning (AI) techniques within the realm of hearing devices, with a special emphasis on audio processing.

I have always wanted to use my knowledge and skills to help others. While I have gained experience in various fields such as satellite communication and communication equipment, the prospect of transitioning to hearing care struck a chord with me. Venturing into MedTech was an opportunity to align with my long-standing goal of making a meaningful impact on people’s lives.

I have dedicated many years to research and development, particularly focusing on product development. This journey has been incredibly engaging and fun, and it has allowed me to acquire a lot of knowledge. I have consistently worked at a high pace, with priorities dictated by time-to-market considerations. In my current role at Eriksholm, I have been given an opportunity to move towards a more research-oriented focus which I wholeheartedly embrace. I look forward to delving deeper into intriguing subjects while maintaining a strong emphasis on usability in real-world applications.

I am driven by the pursuit of questions and the process of simplifying their answers. I find great satisfaction in theorizing, particularly when collaborating with a brilliant team , and  devising methods to validate those theories. I am highly motivated when the work I engage in, the questions I explore, and the ideas and solutions I develop prove to be useful. Making a tangible difference is what truly motivates me.

I hope to continuously expand my knowledge of “how things work”, and hopefully generate knowledge and outputs that enable  others to move further in their field, or can be implemented in products that benefit people .

I like spending quality time with my family as well as walking and outdoor experiences. One of my passions is indulging in long, intricate cooperative board games, which I play with people who are almost as geeky as myself! I also spend time developing solutions to organize and run these board game sessions efficiently.

I believe that the free flow of information facilitated by digital communication, notably through the internet, is the most significant breakthrough of my  time. Pinpointing the single most exciting invention is challenging, but I think the James Web telescope holds immense promise for uncovering thrilling new discoveries.

I hope that the ongoing quest for knowledge will continue to spark a multitude of new questions, leading to a broader dissemination of generated knowledge for the collective benefit of humanity.
