What is your primary work area within Eriksholm Research Centre?

My primary responsibility is to identify strategically relevant opportunities for new applied research ideas and concepts that can be matured to a level where they can be demonstrated to key stakeholders.
Within this context, the Maturation Team, which I am part of, focuses on exploring and delivering measurable improvements in noise management for hearing aids. This is achieved through the development of advanced algorithms, conceptual innovations, and pipeline architectures, all within defined time constraints and with the ambition of generating meaningful impact.

What is your primary work area within Eriksholm Research Centre?

My professional background has been shaped broadly by the audio industry, spanning acoustics, digital signal processing, and data science. I have had the opportunity to work with several companies investing in research and cutting-edge technologies for both audio capture and rendering.
Hearing care represents, to me, a natural extension and a missing piece of the broader audio landscape, one that directly connects technological innovation with human impact.

Many professionals experience a lack of challenge in their daily work. I consider it a unique privilege to be part of a team where my full intellectual capacity is continuously engaged.
I am motivated by the fact that my experience and ideas contribute, however incrementally, to solving a complex and meaningful problem. Each contribution represents a small but valuable piece of a much larger puzzle.

What motivates you in your job?

In the long term, I aspire to transition toward an academic career path, contributing to the research community by combining an engineer’s structured mindset with the curiosity and drive of an inspired researcher.

What is the most exciting scientific breakthrough or invention in your time?

The rise of machine learning and the era of big data represent, in my view, one of the most transformative scientific shifts of our time. Data-driven approaches, where vast amounts of global knowledge are processed through large probabilistic models, have fundamentally changed how we approach problem-solving.
In particular, the emergence of large language models (LLMs) can be seen as an industrial revolution in its own right, reshaping the way we work, learn, and address complex global challenges.

What is the most exciting scientific breakthrough or invention in your time?

The rise of machine learning and the era of big data represent, in my view, one of the most transformative scientific shifts of our time. Data-driven approaches, where vast amounts of global knowledge are processed through large probabilistic models, have fundamentally changed how we approach problem-solving.
In particular, the emergence of large language models (LLMs) can be seen as an industrial revolution in its own right, reshaping the way we work, learn, and address complex global challenges.
