Eriksholm Update: Sharing our science one video at a time

What’s going on at Eriksholm? That’s the question we’re answering with Eriksholm Update — our quarterly news series launched in November 2024.

Each episode offers a glimpse into the broad topics shaping our scientific activities, with expert interviews and perspectives on current research, collaborations and how our work connects to the wider world of hearing healthcare and -technology.

Latest episodes:

Q4 2024:
The pilot video zoomed in on two of Eriksholm’s focus areas: AI and Cognitive Hearing Science. Fellow Jesper Jensen, Senior Research Manager Hamish Innes-Brown, and Principal Scientist Dorothea Wendt shared their thoughts and experiences about  how they see these topics impacting the future of hearing health care.

Q1 2025:
The second video focused on the complexities of communication difficulties and behavior. Senior Scientist Martha Shiell, Scientist Lena-Marie Huttner, and Senior Research Manager Sergi Rotger Griful explained how communication challenges in hearing loss go beyond sound and affect behavior. They also shared insights into how understanding these factors can improve strategies for supporting people with hearing loss in real-life settings.

What’s next?

New updates will be released quarterly, and announced on LinkedIn and Facebook. We are already making preparations for the next release, airing in June – stay tuned!
